Our course locations and facilities
DHTC has 3 course locations in Den Helder, The Netherlands. One location close to Den Helder Airport at Kooypunt industrial estate, one location in the port of Den Helder and a training platform at the entrance of the sea port.
Facilities located in the heart of the Dutch offshore industry.
April - May 2015: New fire-fighting training units
A new roof has been installed at Hall A,B and C between March and May 2015.
At te same time our industrial fire-fighting unit has been replaced. This new facility offers more challenges during fire-fighting courses and industrial firefighters examinations.
August 2014: New DHTC helicopter simulator for HUET courses
On August 27, 2014 DHTC brought into use a new HUET dunker (helicopter simulator).
After 24 years of loyal service we say goodbye to the first ever HUET dunker of The Netherlands, which became operational in 1990.
The new DHTC dunker is a Configurable HUET type and built by SEFtec in Cork, Ireland.
May 2012: DHTC's fire-fighting training helicopter
In May 2012 DHTC brought into use the new helicopter for the course Helicopter Fire Fighting. DHTC is responsible for the design of the helicopter, a resemblance to the AgustaWestland 139 helicopter. A type of helicopter frequently used for offshore flight from and to Den Helder Airport.
